HOME / ABOUT US / OUR STORY
At Avarelle Cosmetics, we firmly believe in equal opportunity. As a small cosmetic company, we know that there are many challenges ahead of us. But one of the core values that we will take with us throughout our entire journey is workplace equity.
Meet Eunsong, the creative artist behind the thank you cards you may have received in the mail if you’ve purchased any of our products. Eunsong works part-time with us to utilize her artistic abilities to bring us custom designs for cards, letters, social media, and more. EunSong was first diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder when she was younger. However, that hasn’t stopped her from her passion and interest in art.
With any type of disability, it is often difficult to find employment and employers that are willing to take on the challenge of hiring those with special needs. Having Eun Song on our team has made every day more fulfilling as we grow with her in working together with patience and care. We realize that diversity and willingness to learn and accept helps us grow not only as people but as a company.
For us, being able to successfully employ and work alongside a young disabled artist is a platform we want to set not only for our company but for other cosmetic companies alike. As an acne-focused brand our goal is to be inclusive not only when we make our products but as a principal for our entire company.
Having Eun Song on our team has been a step forward for us and we’re thankful for everyone’s support. If you would like to see more of her artwork, please check her Instagram page @eunsongdraws
